While the model is super impressive, but the speed of change may be the bigger story.
Not very long ago, every major AI release was a big event. People would discuss it for weeks. Today, the excitement from one launch barely settles before attention shifts to the next model.
What I found fascinating is that the underlying “Mythos”-class capabilities behind Fable 5 were considered too sensitive for broad release just weeks ago. Today, a version of those capabilities is available to ordinary users like you and me.
The story is no longer just about what AI can do.
It is about how quickly the future is moving from research labs to our phones and laptops, and how quickly we are getting used to it.
The half-life of AI surprise is shrinking. That may be the bigger story.
